Heavy rains have caused rivers in Punjab to overflow, leaving thousands of families displaced. In the middle of this crisis, the Church of the Nazarene in Punjab, led by Pastor Shimon Masih, stepped in to bring hope and God’s comfort to those affected.

Pastor Shimon, together with his team and the district youth, reached Fazilka district, where nearly two hundred families were struggling with rising waters. Many homes were submerged, belongings were lost, and even access to clean water and basic supplies was cut off. Despite the danger of moving through flooded areas, the team chose to go and serve, moved by God’s love to stand with the people.

The church’s response was not only about giving food, water, and essentials. They also visited families, prayed with them, and reminded them of God’s presence in the middle of loss. Local youth joined in by raising funds and helping organize relief efforts, showing unity in action.

Pastor Shimon shared that the situation is still very serious, with water levels rising. He asks for continued prayer: “May God’s mercy protect the families, provide for their needs, and give strength to everyone serving in this crisis.”

Through their actions, the Church of the Nazarene in Punjab is showing faith in action. Their work brings both practical help and spiritual hope to families facing overwhelming floods.
