Our bus leaves at a quarter to 7. It's so cold that the window panes are frosted over. Every time the door opens, a blast of cold air sweeps through the bus. We move through the dark hills, drop off teachers at local schools in the villages, pick up a few children: Their village schools have refused to take them in, because they are Roma kids, and nobody wants them. Some don't even wear a proper jacket.
Büsingen International Church of the Nazarene, located in Büsingen, Germany, has a long tradition of helping people in need across the Eurasia Region. This Christmas season, the church is reaching out a little closer to home.
Earlier in the month the church collected items for needy families in Romania. During one of their monthly prayer meetings, while talking about the parcels to Romania, they began to talk about needs locally and their responsibility to neighbors in their own village.
