Meet Diala, one of the students at the EuNC Arabic Learning Centre, which launched in January 2023. She is currently enrolled in the Advanced Diploma in Applied Theology (ADAT) program and brings a unique blend of creativity and conviction to her work as a scriptwriter for a Christian nonprofit and a Middle Eastern Christian TV station.

Alongside her studies and media ministry, Diala is also actively involved in her local Nazarene church in Lebanon, where she faithfully serves with the teens.

Reflecting on her journey at the EuNC Arabic Learning Centre, Diala shares:

“Through studying at EuNC, I experience each day how theological education goes beyond classrooms and lectures. It is a deep spiritual training that helps me grow, discern, and live according to God’s will. The college provides an environment filled with prayer, reflection, and spiritual fellowship, and gives me the tools I need to be a faithful servant in my church and community. I thank the Lord for putting me in this place, where faith and knowledge walk hand in hand.”

Today, Diala offers a reflection on the moment when Jesus appears to His disciples by the Sea of Tiberias:

Jesus’s appearing to His disciples by the Sea of Tiberias shows how He continued to be in a relationship with them even after His resurrection. We see how Peter put on his clothes and rushed to meet Him as soon as he recognized the Lord, even though the boat was already close to shore.

Peter teaches me how to be ready to meet the Lord—how to be clothed with love and service, and how to bring others along with me to encounter Him. When Jesus told the disciples to cast their net into the sea and they caught a large number of fish, I was reminded that God provides. I often come to Him saying, “I do not have anything. I possess nothing. I need You in this place,” and He responds with abundance. He satisfies my needs from psychological, to spiritual, and physical; I have experienced this many times in my life.

I love the way Jesus led in that moment: “Throw the net into the water and see what happens.” I long for Him to lead my life the same way. I ask daily for His grace and wisdom in every decision I make.

When Jesus sat and had breakfast with His disciples, He showed the beauty of fellowship. That moment teaches me to live like Him—to value community with my church, my friends, and those around me. It reminds me of the importance of sharing not just a meal, but the Word, and above all, love.

As I read this passage, I see that His disciples recognized Him through the miracle He performed. Sometimes, I, too, need something tangible to help me know Him more. And truly, many miracles in our lives draw us closer to Jesus, revealing more of who He is.

Today, I am reminded once again to trust the Lord, to listen when He speaks, and to respond with faith. I learn to be in fellowship with my community and to share His love and Word with them. I learn to be His disciple—to approach Him with reverence and passion. He is my God, my Savior, the One who was raised from the dead, and who desires a relationship with me, now and forever.
